On Saturday the 19th of September, reigning WBO Middleweight Champion and Limerick native, Andy Lee, will defend his World title against undefeated Billy Joe Saunders. This unique outdoor global boxing event will take place at Thomond Park the home of Munster Rugby, live and exclusive on Box Nation in the UK and Ireland.

Tras dos aplazamientos, finalmente el Mundial WBO del peso medio, que expondrá el campeón Andy Lee (34-2-1, 24 KO) (a la derecha en la imagen) ante su retador oficial Billy Joe Saunders (22-0, 12 KO), se disputará el 19 de diciembre en la ciudad inglesa de Manchester.
El enfrentamiento entre el irlandés Lee y el invicto inglés Saunders encabezará una velada que también contará con otros dos títulos del mundo: Terry Flanagan defenderá el cinturón mundial ligero WBO Liam Smith expondrá su recientemente obtenido cinturón mundial superwélter WBO. Los dos lo harán en defensa voluntaria ante rivales que aún están por designar.
